About me
Hi!
I’m Melissa, a former Elementary School Teacher and current Pricing Analyst. After well over a decade (of all sorts of crazy ideas and medical tests), I was officially diagnosed with Seronegative Celiac Disease in 2021…right in the middle of COVID. It was a blessing in disguise as I didn’t have to venture out to social gatherings right after my diagnosis.
I did not automatically feel better after going Gluten-Free. In fact, it took replacing everything in my kitchen, reassessing every beauty/hair product I owned, tossing many things that could be contaminated with gluten, a lot of trial and error, and so many other things to get to where I am today.
Being diagnosed with Celiac Disease was really hard at first. It came with a huge adjustment of my new “normal,” but I can truly say it gave me my life back. I have been able to travel internationally and do so many other things that seemed like a distant dream for many years. It isn’t always easy, but it is worth it!
If you are still in the thick of it, I am so sorry-it is tough, but so are you! My prayers are with you that you will feel better soon! Once you are on the other side of it, your life will forever be changed for the positive…and I guarantee you will look back and say…”How did I ever live like that?!”
